Tertiary flora of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia
The collection comprises four subcollections: Sarmatian flora of Medvednica and Samobor Mountains, Oligocene flora of Mt. Promina, Oligocene flora of Planina in Medvednica Mountain, and the Sarmatian flora of Radoboj.
The collections mainly contain leaf impressions, and to a lesser extent seeds, branches, and fruits, predominantly of tropical and subtropical species.
Numerous plant fossils form the basis for reconstructing the vegetation of Croatia throughout its long geological past.
