Tertiary flora of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia

The collection consists of four subcollections: Fossil flora of the Eocene deposits of Mount Promina; Fossil flora of the deposits of the village of Planina; Fossil flora of the Sarmatian deposits of Radoboj; and Fossil flora of the Sarmatian deposits of Medvednica and the Samobor Hills.

The collections mainly contain leaf impressions, and to a lesser extent seeds, branches, and fruits, predominantly of tropical and subtropical species. Numerous plant fossils form the basis for reconstructing the vegetation of Croatia throughout its long geological past.
