Holotype collection
The holotype collection contains the most valuable specimens from all collections of the Geological and Paleontological Department of the Croatian Natural History Museum. These are fossil specimens that were first described and illustrated and, as such, based on scientific determination, designated and selected as holotypes. They are separated into a unique collection of Croatian holotypes, unique specimens of extinct plant and animal genera and species of particular scientific and cultural value.
