Eocene collections
The Eocene collections are part of the geological and palaeontological holdings of the Croatian Natural History Museum and consist of the following subcollections: Fauna of Eocene deposits of Croatia and Dalmatia; Eocene coral fauna of Dubravica and Ostrovica in Dalmatia; Middle Eocene mollusc fauna of Majevica; Middle Eocene mollusc fauna of central Dalmatia; Marine fossils in bauxites of central Dalmatia; and Eocene coral fauna of Croatia (surroundings of Drniš, island of Krk). The collections comprise diverse fossil fauna (bivalves, gastropods, corals, etc.) from numerous localities in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. All specimens are of Eocene age (55–34 million years).
