Diptera collection
The collection consists of dry-preserved specimens of flies (Insecta: Diptera). Approximately 30% of the material exhibits some degree of damage; however, the damage is not sufficient to justify deaccessioning or removal from the collection.
The material originates predominantly from Croatia and the former Yugoslavia and spans the period from the 1880s to the present day (19th, 20th, and 21st centuries). The collection was assembled through the collecting activities of numerous collectors.
Data derived from the collection have been published largely in the works of Langhoffer, Baranov, Sisojević, Tošić-Simova and Perović, as well as in publications authored by Perović.
