Landscapes of the Soul – Landscapes of Imagination
Art Workshop Inspired by the Exhibition “Inner Landscapes”
Sunday, 8 November 2026 at 11:00 AM | Croatian Natural History Museum
What happens when art meets imagination, and the landscapes we see connect with those we carry within us?
The Croatian Natural History Museum invites you to “Landscapes of the Soul – Landscapes of Imagination”, a creative art workshop inspired by the paintings of Oskar Herman, organised as part of the exhibition “Inner Landscapes – The Landscapes of Oskar Herman and the Earth’s Interior”.
Drawing inspiration from Herman’s distinctive artistic expression, participants will explore their inner worlds and discover how emotions, memories and imagination can be transformed into colours, shapes and brushstrokes. Using paint and brushes, we will create personal landscapes that reflect not only what we see, but also what we feel, remember and imagine.
The workshop welcomes both children and adults. Younger participants will have the opportunity to invent and paint their own imaginary worlds, filled with mountains, rivers, volcanoes, underground caves and perhaps a few extraordinary creatures.
No previous artistic experience is required. All you need is curiosity, an open mind and a willingness to create. All art materials will be provided.
