Marine Miocene Collection I
The Marine Miocene Collections I consist of the following subcollections: (1) Miocene bivalves of Croatia and Slavonia; (2) Miocene fauna of the Zaprešić hill near Samobor; (3) Miocene malacological fauna of Virovitica, Novska, and Moslavina; (4) Upper Pontian fauna from boreholes in the Krapina River valley southwest of Bedekovčina; (5) Badenian gastropods from the Martinek-Karene locality, Austria; (6) Miocene gastropods of the Zaprešić hill (M. Pavlovsky); (7) Miocene gastropods of the Zaprešić hill. These collections contain numerous fossil molluscs (gastropods and bivalves) collected from various localities in Croatia and one locality in Austria. Their age corresponds to the Miocene period (approximately 24 to 5 million years ago).
