Five Impressions – Five Student Artworks

Nature has always been a source of fascination and inspiration. The rich collections of the Croatian Natural History Museum, filled with diverse natural specimens, encourage visitors to explore, reflect, and express their creativity.

Inspired by the museum’s permanent displays, exhibitions, and educational workshops, five students from the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme at the XV Gymnasium in Zagreb transformed their impressions and experiences into a series of original artworks. Each student developed a unique artistic response to the exhibits, creating individual interpretations that reflect the richness of different perspectives on nature.

The resulting works are presented as an “exhibition within an exhibition,” integrated among the museum’s natural history specimens and inviting visitors to reflect on the boundaries between nature, art, and imagination.
