“Young People in Museums” – March Open Doors Initiative
Throughout March, the doors of Zagreb’s city museums will be wide open for students of primary and secondary schools — including the Croatian Natural History Museum.
As part of the pilot project “Young People in Museums”, students can visit the Museum free of charge, independently or in groups, upon presentation of their digital student record (e-imenik).
🏛️ Young People in Museums – March in the Spirit of Open Doors
This initiative was launched by students from Ivan Meštrović Primary School and II Gymnasium, participants in the ZAG – Community of Active Citizens programme. Their idea is to make culture more accessible and closer to young people, present not only within classrooms but also in their free time.
With this initiative, the City of Zagreb is further expanding access to cultural content in line with the Cultural Development Plan 2024–2030, with the goal of making free museum visits a permanent practice.
🦕 What to Expect at the Croatian Natural History Museum
Students are invited to explore the Museum’s permanent exhibitions and current displays — from the fascinating world of minerals and rocks, to the diversity of plant and animal life, and spectacular fossils and stories about the origins of life on Earth.
Take the opportunity to experience nature in the heart of the city — independently, with friends, or with family.
📅 Programme duration: entire March
🎟️ Admission: free for primary and secondary school students in Zagreb
📲 Requirement: presentation of digital student record (e-imenik)
ℹ️ Information about opening hours is available on the Museum’s official website and on the “Guru za kulturu” platform.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Museum! 🌿🦕
