WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN: Recycled Bees and a Beehive
MATERIALS:
toilet paper rolls
surprise chocolate egg capsules
pipe cleaners (or a black marker)
glue (hot glue recommended)
yellow paint (tempera, watercolours, or spray paint)
black marker
string or wire
scissors
INSTRUCTIONS:
The beehive is made from toilet paper rolls cut and glued into hexagonal cells to resemble a real hive. The hexagon is the most efficient shape, as it allows bees to use the least amount of wax. Once assembled, paint the structure yellow.
The bees are made from surprise chocolate egg capsules wrapped in pipe cleaners (or drawn with a black marker if pipe cleaners are not available).
The finished decoration can be hung on a wall, window, or balcony.
