Paleontological Excavations – Children’s Workshop

Paleontological Excavations – Children’s Workshop

Step into the world of paleontology and discover what it is like to be a real scientist in the field. In this interactive workshop, children will excavate replica Neanderthal remains, learn the basic methods of paleontological research, and try their hand at reconstructing the famous Skull C.

Working within a simulated excavation site, participants will carefully uncover fossil replicas, document their discoveries on worksheets, sketch and describe the remains, and attempt to assemble a complete skull reconstruction. Through hands-on activities, children will develop observation skills, fine motor abilities, and critical thinking while enjoying a fun and educational experience.
