Exhibition Mosquitoes – the Deadliest Animals on Earth
Valuable mosquito collections in the Republic of Croatia are presented, along with important biological characteristics of this significant vector group and the life cycle of mosquitoes in an aquarium, so that visitors can become familiar with the morphology of their developmental stages.
The exhibition presents invasive mosquito species, the ways in which they are introduced, and their strong vector potential. Numerous methods of mosquito control in Croatia are also shown, across different developmental stages.
In terms of presentation, the exhibition is enriched with holographic display technology, which has proven to be an excellent method for visualizing these tiny organisms.
Exhibition Coral Retrieved from the Sea
The aim of the exhibition is to present the natural history characteristics of corals, taking into account their structure, way of life, systematics, distribution and endangered status, while also adding numerous curiosities, legends, myths, beliefs and the artistic experience of corals.
In order to present the beauty, importance and value of corals as comprehensively as possible, the exhibition also presents objects from other museum institutions, showing the presence of corals in different segments of life from almost the very beginnings of civilization to the present day.

MendTheGap Project Exhibition
The MendTheGap project represents an innovative opportunity to bridge the gap in certain research capacities in Croatia in the fields of archaeology, genetics and other sciences of the past.
The project takes advantage of specific location-related strengths arising from two important facts.
First, Croatia contains a large number of archaeological sites and valuable material that is relatively under-researched and insufficiently economically utilized.
Second, Croatia has a group of researchers, conceptually and strategically united in the CrEAMA Initiative, whose scientific research capacities, influence and success in obtaining EU projects have not been fully realized due to insufficient funding, coordination and strategic planning.
With the help of world-renowned scientists from the University of Cambridge and the University of Pisa, our ultimate vision is to build a research group, the CrEAMA Initiative, capable of thinking about the sciences of the past at a multi-inter-transdisciplinary level.
Our assumption is that the ability to think about the sciences of the past in this way can provide significant innovative strength and contribute to solving many contemporary questions and problems.
