Museum Night 2016 Programme
6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. – Exhibitions
Visitors to the Croatian Natural History Museum will be able to view the permanent mineralogical-petrographic and zoological displays, as well as the exhibitions: Through Zagreb Streets… Zagreb in Stone, Vatroslav Kuliš – Animal Kingdom, and Metamorphosis – Dream of a Greedy Caterpillar.
6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. – Exhibition Naturfašnik – Our First Five Years
For five years, the Croatian Natural History Museum has been organizing a cheerful children’s carnival in its spaces, and because of the idea of connecting masked museum visitors with natural history, nature, it was named “Naturfašnik”.
This exhibition will mark the first five years of "Naturfašnik" and, at the same time, announce the new Naturfašnik, which will be organized on 6 and 7 February 2016 at our Museum.
6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. – Exhibition Interactive DNA Info Desk
A virtual exhibition about the DNA molecule and molecular-genetic research at the Museum.
The application of new technologies in clarifying issues related to the Museum’s historical evolutionary research.
6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. – Presentation: Founders and Guardians of the CNHM Museum Collections
As part of the theme of "Museum Night 2016", the Croatian Natural History Museum will present the most significant museum professionals and naturalists whose work left an indelible mark on the creation of the Museum.
Mijat Sabljar, Josip Kalasancij Schlosser pl. Klekovski, Gjuro Pilar, Spiridion Brusina, Dragutin Gorjanović Kramberger, Mijo Kišpatić, and Nikola Fink will be presented.
7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Entertainment programme: Fire Eaters
Fire-eating performance.
6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. – Entertainment programme: Photo Booth
The photo booth is intended for photographing visitors during Museum Night.
