LIFE Euroturtles at the European Commission Open Day
The Croatian Natural History Museum is participating in this year’s European Commission Open Day at the Berlaymont building in Brussels.
We will talk with you about our LIFE Euroturtles project and play some turtle-themed games.
We will also present satellite and GSM transmitters for tracking sea turtles, as well as LED lights on fishing nets designed to reduce sea turtle bycatch.
For young visitors, we have a memory game, puzzles and colouring games, and the best participants will receive a full sea turtle colouring booklet!
The LIFE project Lifelema, which works on managing floating marine litter, will also participate. Since floating plastic is a major problem for sea turtles, we look forward to learning something ourselves as well.
