From the Museum into Nature – Spring 2018
Schedule of educational nature trips for May and June 2018:
May 12 and 13, Saturday and Sunday
Educational trip: Istria (Pazin Cave, Zarečki Waterfall, Baredine Cave, Kamenjak)
Saturday, May 12
10:00 Gathering in Pazin, transport by private cars.
10:00 – 13:00 Visit to Pazin Cave with expert guidance by speleologists. The visit price with a special discount for our group is 100 HRK for adults and 80 HRK for children.
13:00 Departure by car to Zarečki Waterfall near Pazin.
13:30 – 14:30 Time for rest and lunch in nature.
14:30 – 16:30 Study of rocks and fossils near Zarečki Waterfall.
16:30 – 17:30 Drive to Baredine Cave near Poreč.
17:30 Dinner at the Baredine Cave estate.
Overnight stay is possible free of charge in your own tents and sleeping bags at the Baredine Cave estate, or in apartments in the nearby village of Nova Vas.

Sunday, May 13
09:00 – 09:40 Visit to Baredine Cave.
10:00 – 11:00 Drive by car to Cape Kamenjak.
11:00 – 17:00 Visit to significant natural phenomena of Cape Kamenjak, dinosaur footprints, fossils, rocks, flora and fauna, with a lunch break in nature.
17:00 Departure home by car.
Trip leaders: Damir Lacković, Snježana Mikulčić Pavlaković, Dražen Japundžić, Petar Crnčan, Zorana Sedlar and Mateja Jagić.

June 9, Saturday
Educational trip: Samarske stijene
Approximate trip plan:
10:00 Gathering in Mrkopalj in Gorski kotar, transport by private cars.
10:00 – 10:30 Drive by car to Tuk and then along a gravel road to the beginning of the hiking trail to Samarske stijene.
10:30 – 11:30 Hike to Ratko’s Shelter.
11:30 – 12:30 Lunch break.
12:30 – 17:00 Tour of Samarske stijene along a circular route, a demanding hiking trail, with education about karst phenomena, pits, sinkholes, karren, kamenitzas, flora and fauna.
17:00 Departure home by car.
