Croatian Natural History Museum Receives a Replica of Croatia’s First Satellite in Space
The Croatian Natural History Museum was honoured to welcome Daniela Jović, Project Manager of CroCube, who ceremoniously presented the Museum with a certificate of appreciation, a commemorative photograph, and a replica of CroCube – the first Croatian satellite successfully launched into space.
The donation was presented to Martina Šašić Kljajo, Deputy Director of the Croatian Natural History Museum, and Branimir Ivić, Head of Marketing, as a token of the successful collaboration between the Museum and the CroCube team, and with the hope of developing new joint projects dedicated to space, science, and the popularisation of natural history.
The CroCube mission marks a significant milestone in the development of Croatia’s space activities and stands as a symbol of the knowledge, innovation, and dedication of Croatian scientists, engineers, and space enthusiasts. The satellite replica and accompanying materials represent a valuable reminder of an achievement that placed Croatia among the countries that have successfully designed and launched their own satellite into orbit.
The Croatian Natural History Museum sincerely thanks Daniela Jović and the entire CroCube team for this meaningful gift and for their trust. The Museum will endeavour to find a suitable place to permanently display the satellite replica so that this unique exhibit, representing an important chapter in Croatia’s recent scientific and technological history, can be enjoyed by all visitors.
We believe this marks only the beginning of an even closer collaboration between the Croatian Natural History Museum and the CroCube team, and we look forward to future projects that will inspire the public through science, space exploration, and technological innovation.
