Green Practices or Green Illusions: The Story of Pollution and “Solutions”

Are all “green” solutions truly as sustainable as they are presented? Paper straws, cotton bags, electric vehicles and recycling are just some of the topics we will explore through facts, examples and a critical look at today’s environmental challenges.
Join us for a lecture by Antonio Svorenji, where we will explore the complex world of production, consumption, pollution and the search for more sustainable solutions.
Please note: The lecture will be held in Croatian.
After the lecture, we will screen the award-winning film Erin Brockovich (2000), based on a true story. The film follows the fight against industrial pollution of drinking water and highlights issues of environmental responsibility, corporate accountability and the power of individuals and communities to expose environmental injustice.
The film will be screened in English with Croatian subtitles.
