From the Museum into Nature – Autumn 2016
The aim of the programme “From the Museum into Nature” is to offer visitors of the Croatian Natural History Museum the opportunity to experience natural values directly through excursions in nature.
Educational nature excursions led by curators are carried out as easy walks along selected hiking trails of Medvednica and other Croatian mountains, where important natural phenomena are encountered and explained directly.
Children’s workshops and popular science lectures are held at the Croatian Natural History Museum, where visitors can also view part of the museum holdings through the current permanent display and thematic exhibitions.
The programme is regularly held during May and June, as well as in September and October. More detailed information about the excursions will be available on the museum’s website.
Exceptionally, at the request of an organized school group, an educational excursion can also be arranged at a special time outside the official programme schedule.
