Culture of Donation by Petar Crnčan.
In many cases, donations served as the driving force behind the establishment of museums in Croatia, and the Croatian Natural History Museum in Zagreb itself acquired a significant part of its initial holdings precisely through donations.
20:30
Branimir Ivić – Museum Library
The Zoological Library, located on the 2nd floor of the Museum, and the corridor in front of it were significantly damaged in the earthquakes that struck Zagreb during 2020.
Due to the earthquakes and the Museum renovation project itself, the library, together with the libraries of the Geological and Palaeontological Department and the Mineralogical and Petrographic Department, will be temporarily housed in the premises of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MSU), to whom we are grateful for their hospitality.
