3D Multimedia Presentation of New Experiences – A Journey Through Space, Oceans and the Microscopic World
23 October 2025
Croatian Natural History Museum – Multimedia Hall
One year after the reopening of the renovated Croatian Natural History Museum, which has welcomed more than 125,000 visitors during this period, we invite you to join us for a free multimedia presentation of our newest 3D experiences and immersive installations.
Step into the Museum’s state-of-the-art multimedia hall and explore space, the Sun, the oceans, and the fascinating world of insects through cutting-edge projection technology and interactive visualizations that combine science, art, and education.
The programme features experiences developed in collaboration with leading international partners:
🪐 UNIVIEW – An Interactive Journey Through Space
With Uniview, visitors can fly across the Milky Way, walk among Saturn’s rings, observe the Moon up close, or travel to the International Space Station.
Using real astronomical databases and real-time visualization technology, Uniview offers a unique way to explore the universe while learning about phenomena such as Earth’s magnetic field, planetary systems, and the structure of galaxies. Presenters can navigate through space live, creating an engaging and dynamic educational experience.
☀️ SUN – The Star That Sustains Life
Created by artist Michael König, Sun is an immersive audiovisual installation based on authentic imagery captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory.
Projected in stunning 4K resolution across both walls and floor, the installation allows visitors to experience the Sun as never before—its immense power, energy, and the dynamic processes that make life on Earth possible. The atmospheric soundtrack by acclaimed Mexican composer Murcof further enhances this awe-inspiring encounter.
🐞 BIG BUGS 3D – The Hidden World of Insects
Big Bugs 3D takes audiences on a remarkable journey into the miniature world of insects, magnified to reveal their extraordinary complexity and beauty.
Visitors encounter butterflies, praying mantises, grasshoppers, and many other species in spectacular three-dimensional detail. The film highlights the incredible adaptations and diversity of insects and demonstrates their essential role in maintaining healthy ecosystems. Combining science, technology, and visual storytelling, it is both educational and captivating.
🌊 DEEPSEA – Diving into the Ocean’s Depths
DeepSea offers a breathtaking voyage beneath the waves.
Visitors descend into the mysterious darkness of the deep ocean, encountering humpback whales, drifting jellyfish, and bioluminescent creatures that illuminate the abyss. Produced by Ars Electronica Solutions, this immersive experience reveals some of the least explored environments on Earth and reminds us how much of our planet’s oceans remains unknown.
🎨 COOPERATIVE AESTHETICS – Art, Movement and Collaboration
The programme concludes with Cooperative Aesthetics, an interactive installation that invites visitors to become creators themselves.
Through movement and participation, visitors generate shapes, colours, and sounds, collectively creating visual and musical harmony. This innovative experience merges science, art, and human interaction, highlighting the importance of cooperation, creativity, and shared discovery.
Join us and experience nature in an entirely new way—through an inspiring scientific, visual, and immersive spectacle that pushes the boundaries of museum interpretation.
