Educational trips

The aim of the “From the Museum into Nature” program is, in addition to the usual viewing of natural history objects in the Museum, to allow visitors to experience natural values directly through trips in nature. Educational nature trips led by curators are designed as easy walks, accessible to all age groups, along selected hiking trails where important natural phenomena can be seen and explained directly in the field. Children’s workshops and popular science lectures related to the program are held at the Croatian Natural History Museum, where visitors can also view part of the Museum’s holdings through the current permanent exhibition and thematic exhibitions.

The program is held during May and June, as well as in September and October, when the weather is usually most suitable for trips in nature.
