The collection of mineral paragenesis of Busovača
The collection of mineral paragenesis of Busovača is unique in the world and consists of mineral specimens from Alpine-type vein paragenesis containing hyalophane, collected at a locality near Busovača in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Hyalophane, a rare silicate mineral, occurs at this locality in the form of pale yellowish single and twinned crystals with remarkable habits.
Twinned crystals occur as twins composed of two individuums and, most commonly, as fourlings with very complex growth forms.
A large number of specimens range in size from a few millimetres to several centimetres, while impressive twins reaching up to 20 centimetres have also been found.
