The goal of the “Iz muzeja u prirodu” (“From the Museum to Nature”) program is, in addition to the usual viewing of natural objects in the museum, to enable visitors to experience natural values directly during the educational trips that take place in nature. Educational trips to nature under the guidance of curators are designed as easy walks (appropriate for all ages) along the selected hiking trails where significant natural phenomena will be directly seen and explained. Workshops for children and popular scientific lectures related to the program are held in the Croatian Natural History Museum, where citizens can view part of the Museum’s holdings through the current permanent display and thematic exhibitions.

The program is carried out during May and June, and also in September and October, when weather conditions are the best to embark on a nature trip.
