My Project in the Museum

We invite you to join a completely new volunteer program of the Croatian Natural History Museum!
Are you extremely interested in a natural science topic? Are you passionate about your profession and field of interest and would like to present it to the public (for example, to children), but do not have the opportunity to do so? Have you written a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral thesis? Would you like to present it not only to your examination committee and a handful of friends and colleagues, but also to the general public? Is your topic so complex that people outside the university barely understand it? Do you enjoy giving presentations and popularizing science?
Join our new volunteer program called “My Project in the Museum” and, with the mentorship and cooperation of museum educators, curators, guides, and other staff members, develop and realize your idea!
Through our mentorship, consultations, and workshops, we will help you:
- Prepare and present the topic that interests you in a popular, clear, and understandable way;
- Create a high-quality lecture and presentation;
- Overcome stage fright or improve your existing public-speaking skills;
- Present your work and project in a unique venue and one of the most modern halls in Croatia (and even the world!) in front of 20, 50, 100, or more people (your choice 😊);
- And much more!
Would you like a workshop for retirees or preschool children? – possible!
Would you like a lecture or debate for the public? – possible!
Would you like to take children on scientific field trips? – possible!
Would you like a series of lectures and workshops? – that is possible too!
Do you only have three free weeks or are you looking for a challenge for the next 7 months? – no problem!
As a museum, in addition to mentorship, we can also provide materials, space, and participants.
